BIO

Barzan is a Professional Swimming National Team Coach, National Team Swimmer, and currently Private Swimming Coach and a World Master Swimmer. He is a world master swimmer ranked in three FINA World Aquatic Masters Championships 2014, 2015 and 2024. His several years of experience as a National Swimming Coach led his team to win titles in international events in many countries.

One of his achievements was leading the Iraqi Swimming National Team to win 2nd place in the 4th Gulf Swimming Championship, Al Ain, UAE.

 

A recipient of several international awards, he holds the below records: -

- Ranked 11th in 100m Freestyle in the World Aquatic Masters Championships, Doha, Qatar 2024 representing Czeh Republic.

 

- Two Gold medals and one Silver medal in Greece National Masters Swimming Championship 2023.

​

- Gold and Bronze medals in 8th Greece Masters Swimming Championship 2022.

​

- Three silver medals in Michigan State Masters Swimming Championship 2019, representing Florida State / USA.

​

- Ranked 4th in the European Masters Swimming Championship, Kranj, Slovenia, 2018, representing the Czech Republic.

​

- Ranked 5th of the Top 10 Master Swimmers in Czech Republic history since 2016 till now.

- Arab Master Record in 100m Freestyle, Kazan, Russia, 2015.
 

- Ranked 12th in 100m Freestyle in the FINA World Masters Swimming Championship, Kazan, Russia, 2015, representing the UAE.
 

- 12 National Records and 23 National Masters Records.
 

- Represented UAE, Canada, Czech Republic, Florida State / USA, and Iraq in three FINA World Masters Swimming Championships 2014, 2015 and 2024, European Masters Swimming Championship 2018, USA Masters Swimming Championship 2019.

- Currently represents Neptun Masters / Czech Republic since 2016 in many International Masters Swimming Championships and held many titles and awarded tens of medals.

Barzan as an engineer has a long engineering experience in many industries in many countries.

- Pipe Coating Yard Manager in National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) in Abu Dhabi, he successfully coated more than 8000 kilometers of offshore and onshore pipelines during his 16 years service in NPCC. 

- Senior Process Engineer in Daura and Salah Aldin Oil Refineries in Iraq for 16 years. 

- Production / Operation Manager in Hot Dip Galvanizing Industry in Abu Dhabi for 7 years.

- Production Manager in Confectionary Food Factory.
